All this data is neatly saved in the industry-standard .tmx format.

The TMEditor Workflow:

Creating maps with TMEditor involves a straightforward process:

  1. Define your map dimensions and the size of your base tiles.
  2. Import your tilesets from image files.
  3. Arrange the tilesets on the map.
  4. Add objects to represent abstract game elements.
  5. Save your map as a .tmx file.
  6. Import the .tmx file into your game engine for use.
