Civilization 7 Free Update Will Include Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest

Ahead of its February 11th launch, developer Firaxis Games revealed the roadmap for Civilization 7 (Civ 7), detailing four major content releases planned for March.

Just days before release, Firaxis outlined the content arriving in early and late March. Updates are organized into three categories: Paid Content Collections (DLC), Free Updates, and Events & Challenges. The March schedule includes:

Beyond March, the developers teased additional content including 2 new Leaders, 4 new Civilizations, and 4 new World Wonders. New events and challenges are also planned. A release window for this later content has not been announced. The studio also confirmed that new content will continue to be released in October 2025 and beyond.

The developers shared a list of planned future features that "didn’t quite make it in for our initial launch." No release dates are set, but the team stated they "already have developers assigned to get them out to you as soon as we can." These planned updates are:

 ⚫︎ Adding Teams to multiplayer
 ⚫︎ Expanding multiplayer support to 8 players
 ⚫︎ Letting players select a "starting and ending Age"
 ⚫︎ Creating "a wider variety of map types"
 ⚫︎ Adding hotseat multiplayer
