Escape the Cursed Forest: A Simple, Non-Combat RPG

Embark on a unique RPG adventure as a skilled hunter trapped in a cursed forest. This non-combat game focuses on exploration, resource management, and strategic decision-making, offering a refreshing take on the genre.

The Premise:

You, the village's best hunter, arrive at a hunting tournament only to find the forest eerily deserted. The only clues are the remnants of a large hunter encampment. Your journey to escape begins, fraught with strange occurrences and encounters with unusual wildlife.

Gameplay Mechanics:

• Minimalist Controls: Navigate the game using a maximum of three buttons, keeping the experience streamlined and intuitive.
• Character Creation: While character customization is limited, you can repeatedly reroll stats until you achieve your desired build. Note that stat increases upon leveling are only viewable before the game starts.
• The Quarter-Elf Foria: A mysterious quarter-elf, Foria, offers cryptic assistance, providing crucial items and support throughout your escape.
• Exploration: Uncover the forest's secrets by exploring unexplored areas. The success of each exploration attempt is influenced by your character's stats and the area's "fog depth."
• Wildlife Encounters: Face encounters with various animals, from wolves to surprisingly aggressive frogs and rabbits. Defeating them yields materials for trading. Leveling up through combat is absent; the goal is escape. Battles can be avoided, but this requires either luck or skillful play.
• Hunter's Skills: Utilize your bow and arrow, maintaining a safe distance to attack without risking counter-attacks. When far from a creature, you can use wound medicine to restore health. If cornered, choose between a risky retreat or using a flash ball provided by Foria.
• Cloak System: Craft a cloak using gathered materials to enhance your abilities. The cloak can have up to three layers, each boosting your stats. However, be aware that the outer layer can be damaged and eventually become unusable.
• Skill Selection: Choose from a variety of randomly presented skills to further enhance your capabilities.
• Resource Management: Gather materials to craft items and manage your resources strategically.
• Autosave: The game features an autosave system, but save points are limited. Exiting to the base menu is recommended to ensure progress is saved.

Version 1.2 Update (December 18, 2024):

This version addresses a bug causing unexpected transitions to the character creation mode, as well as fixes from previous versions (v1.1, v1.0, and v0.1).
