Bit Reactor, Respawn to Unveil Star Wars Tactics Game

Respawn Entertainment, in partnership with Bit Reactor—a studio formed by veteran XCOM developers—will officially debut their new Star Wars tactical strategy game on April 19, 2025. The reveal is scheduled for the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan, offering fans an exciting first glimpse into the project.

The title was first announced in 2022, though information has been limited since. Recent sources indicate the game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and will focus on turn-based combat, delivering a rich tactical journey through the beloved Star Wars galaxy.

Despite EA’s sizable layoffs earlier this year, the developers confirmed in March 2024 that the project remains on track and unaffected. The upcoming announcement is set to share core details about the game, possibly alongside a trailer highlighting its gameplay and art direction.

Per the event’s official site, the panel will be hosted by representatives from Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games. Slated for 4:30 PM–5:30 PM local time on the Galaxy Stage, the session guarantees attendees an exclusive preview of this new turn-based tactical adventure. Fans worldwide are invited to watch the livestream and experience the debut of this eagerly awaited Star Wars game.
