How to Play 101 Okey Vip Without Internet

Okey 101 is a multi-round game for four players. The objective is to finish the game with the lowest possible score. The player with the fewest points at the end of all rounds wins. Points are calculated based on the values of remaining tiles (e.g., a red 3 equals three points, and a black 11 equals eleven points). A round ends either when no more tiles can be drawn from the deck or when one player completes their hand.

Getting Started

The dealer distributes 21 stones to each player and gives 22 stones to the player on their right. The remaining tiles stay face down, with one tile placed face up to determine the Joker (Okey piece). Play proceeds counterclockwise. The game starts with the player to the right of the dealer, who has 22 tiles in hand, throwing a tile without drawing first. Subsequent players take their turn by either drawing from the deck or taking the last discarded tile. After drawing, if your set totals 101 points, you can reveal your hand. Revealing involves placing arranged sets on the table. If unable to open, end your turn by discarding a tile. Every player must discard one tile at the end of their turn, even after opening their full hand.

Joker (Okey Stone or Fake Joker)

The determining stone changes every game. Two fake jokers represent the number immediately higher than the face-up indicator. Real jokers look different from standard tiles and can serve as any tile depending on the round. For instance, if the indicator is a blue 5, the real jokers are the two blue 6s. The fake jokers also count as blue 6s.

Revealing Hands

You need at least 101 points to open your hand. Valid sets include three or four tiles of different colors with matching numbers (e.g., black, red, and blue 5) or a sequence of the same color (e.g., red 7-8-9). Each set must contain at least three stones. To add to existing opened sets on the table, you must first open your own hand. You can reveal your hand and contribute to others' sets in one game. If you take a discarded tile, it must be used immediately. If that player hasn't opened their hand yet, they must do so using this taken tile; it cannot remain in hand. If the tile doesn't fit any set or opening requirement, return it to its place and draw from the deck without penalty.

Doubles

Another way to open is by accumulating at least five pairs of identical tiles. Opening via doubles prevents you from opening a normal numeric sequence in that same game. However, you can still add tiles to sets opened by other players on the table.
