Runescape Reels in Players with Immersive Group Ironman Mode
RuneScape has dropped its new Group Ironman mode today. If you’re a RuneScape member, you can now dive into this challenging mode and take on iconic quests, brutal boss battles and a new set of achievements as a team.
What’s the Group Ironman Mode in RuneScape?
The new mode lets you and your crew of two to five friends team up for some hardcore co-op action. Group Ironman Mode keeps a lot of the classic Ironman mode restrictions in RuneScape. But it does loosen things up a bit when it comes to playing alongside teammates.
There will be no Grand Exchange safety net, no handouts and no XP boosts. Group Ironman strips away the usual conveniences, making you rely entirely on each other. You’ll gather resources, craft gear, build up your skills and face off against foes with strong teamwork.
Group Ironman Mode lets you and your team enjoy specific minigames and engage in Distractions and Diversions together. Also, access some unique content just for your group. And there’s a new island called the Iron Enclave, serving as the official base for Group Ironman players.
Want to Feel More Competitive?
RuneScape has also dropped a Competitive Group Ironman mode. The challenge lets you prove that you can thrive on your own and with no assistance from players outside your group. In this mode, certain group-oriented activities are off-limits.
The list of minigames excluded includes Blast Furnace, Conquest, Deathmatch, Fishing Trawler, Fist of Guthix, The Great Orb Project, Heist, Pest Control, Soul Wars, Stealing Creation and Trouble Brewing.
With Group Ironman, RuneScape wants you to revisit classic moments in an entirely new way. Every victory and every close call will feel like a shared experience. On that note, grab RuneScape from the Google Play Store.
