Crazy Games and Photon Kick Off 10-Day Global Web Multiplayer Jam 2025
CrazyGames is set to launch its exciting Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, running from April 25th to May 5th. This 10-day developer event is a collaborative effort with Photon, the world's leading multiplayer service provider. Indie developers from around the globe are invited to participate in this thrilling game development marathon, where they can showcase their creativity by crafting innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 will have the chance to compete for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes, along with premium Photon licenses. The prizes include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (valued at €7,500)
- 500 CCU for a year (valued at €1,500)
- 100 CCU for a year (valued at €100)
The only requirements for the event are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers have the freedom to let their imaginations soar and create unique gaming experiences.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has emerged as the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL to provide seamless browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. In partnership with Photon, CrazyGames will offer support throughout the event and will also provide the opportunity for winning games to be published on its platform.
To kick off the jam, a pre-jam livestream will be held on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This livestream will introduce participants to two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, expressed excitement about these platforms, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. To learn more and to register, visit the official jam page.
