GTA 6 Projected First-Day Revenue: $1.3 Billion Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5's Michael De Santa (Ned Luke) offers fans reassurance regarding GTA 6's highly anticipated release, even predicting its phenomenal first-day sales. Dive into this article to uncover insights into GTA 6's development and projected success.

Rockstar Games' Unconventional Approach to GTA 6

GTA 6's Projected $1.3 Billion First-Day Revenue

GTA 6 Projected First-Day Revenue: $1.3 BillionNed Luke, the voice actor behind Michael De Santa in GTA 5, boldly predicts GTA 6 will generate a staggering $1.3 billion in its first 24 hours. During a YouTube interview with Fall Damage, Luke expressed his confidence in the game's potential, emphasizing Rockstar Games' knack for the unexpected.

Luke urged patience, assuring fans, "It's going to be worth the wait. From what I've seen, it's going to be amazing." He highlighted GTA 5's record-breaking $800 million first-day revenue in 2013, suggesting GTA 6 will significantly surpass that milestone. Market research firm DFC Intelligence projects over 40 million copies sold and $3.2 billion in revenue within the first year, with $1 billion attributed solely to pre-orders.

The Return of GTA 5 Characters in GTA 6?

GTA 6 Projected First-Day Revenue: $1.3 BillionLuke also weighed in on the possibility of GTA 5 characters appearing in GTA Online and potentially GTA 6. He noted Michael's absence from GTA Online since its launch, contrasting with Trevor and Franklin's appearances.

Luke hinted at Michael's possible inclusion in a future GTA Online DLC or even GTA 6 itself. While Steven Ogg (Trevor in GTA 5) previously suggested Trevor's death as a narrative device, Luke remained coy, stating, "Maybe [Michael, Franklin, and Trevor will be] in GTA 6, like [its online mode]. Maybe. Maybe not." Despite the actors' enthusiasm, no official confirmation regarding their characters' roles in GTA 6 has been released.

GTA 6: In the Testing Phase?

GTA 6 Projected First-Day Revenue: $1.3 BillionFormer Rockstar Games animator Mike York suggests GTA 6 is currently undergoing internal testing. In a since-deleted interview with YouTuber Kiwi Talkz (via GamesRadar), York highlighted the game's unique unpredictability, stating, "There are a lot of things that can happen that you don't really think about until some random kid in his basement tries it."

York believes the game is likely in its internal testing phase, with playable builds potentially circulating among testers. He added, "They're probably still putting in a little work and throwing in little extras."

Following the December 2023 trailer, Rockstar Games has remained tight-lipped about GTA 6. While a Fall 2025 release was previously speculated based on Take-Two Interactive's 2024 financial report, no official release date has been confirmed.
