Wild Rift 6.2 Update Arrives with New Theme

League of Legends: Wild Rift is preparing to launch its 6.2 update, titled Powers Unbound, on July 17. This release introduces the Soulforce Awakening theme, featuring new champions, a revamped item system, balance changes for existing heroes, an enhanced player behavior system, and a collection of exclusive skins.

League of Legends: Wild Rift 6.2 Brings Major Updates

Three new champions are making their way onto the Rift. Aurora, the Witch Between Worlds, joins as an AP assassin designed for a dynamic mid lane experience. Her abilities emphasize agile positioning and tactical choices.

Next is Bard, accompanied by his signature meeps. His toolkit includes the power to form magical journeys that reshape team movement across the battlefield.

Completing the roster is Vel’Koz, the Eye of the Void, who enters as a long-range mage specializing in geometrically complex assaults. He allows players to precisely aim abilities and dismantle opponents from afar.

Wild Rift 6.2 overhauls classic items such as Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, and Essence Reaver. A new addition, Soul Transfer, targets marksmen—each critical strike summons a duplicate that mirrors their attacks.

One of the most entertaining additions is an enchanted piggy that wanders near the Baron and Dragon areas. Defeating it grants gold, experience, and occasionally a piglet that charges at enemy structures. Magical Easter eggs also now appear across the map.

Introducing the Player Behaviour Score System

League of Legends: Wild Rift 6.2 rolls out a new Player Behaviour Score system that classifies players into five distinct groups according to their in-match conduct.

Positive behavior is rewarded with exclusive perks and access to ranked queues, while toxic actions may restrict features and hinder competitive progression.

Ranked and Legendary Queues now share progression, enabling players to advance simultaneously in both modes without dividing their focus. The Grandmaster rank has been split into three separate tiers to create a clearer advancement path.
