Baldur's Gate 3 Beta Patch Incoming

Larian Studios announced a January launch for the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 stress test, accessible via Steam on PC and consoles (Xbox and PlayStation). Mac and GOG users will not have access. Registration is currently open.

Larian plans extensive testing to identify and resolve instability and gameplay issues before the official release. They're particularly keen on player assistance in testing the new cross-play functionality, describing its implementation as a significant undertaking. Players are encouraged to register and invite friends for cross-play campaigns or join groups via the Larian Studios Discord.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update, Larian reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing support for modders, promising substantial future updates to enhance modding capabilities and storytelling options. Since September's release of official modding tools, an impressive 70 million modules have been downloaded, and over 3,000 mods have been uploaded.
