"Warriors: Abyss, a Roguelite Twist on the Franchise, Launches Today"

Following the success of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo has just released Warriors: Abyss, a fresh take on the beloved musou genre. This new roguelite game introduces players to iconic characters from the Warriors series as they navigate through a thrilling new adventure, available as of today.

Unveiled during the PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss allows you to form a squad of heroes and battle through endless waves of foes. With an isometric camera view, the game draws inspiration from both Diablo and the acclaimed roguelite Hades, centered around the Greek pantheon.

Your mission is to assemble a team to conquer the forces of "hell", clashing with demonic adversaries along the journey. The gameplay footage showcased a variety of characters from the Warriors series, including Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sunshang Xiang.

According to the PlayStation Blog, you can recruit and integrate characters into your team over time, expanding your tactical options with additional summoning capabilities. Players can manage up to seven active heroes in combat, with a roster of 100 warriors available at launch.

Koei Tecmo has plans to enrich the game with new characters post-launch, starting with additions from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors. The developer hinted at future updates that may include characters from beyond the Warriors universe.

Warriors: Abyss is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch on February 13, 2025. For those interested in a special in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set, be sure to purchase the game before March 14, 2025.
