Kemco Launches Post-Apocalyptic Visual Novel Together We Live on Android

Kemco has released an exclusive new visual novel for Android titled Together We Live. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, this deeply philosophical story explores themes of human sin and redemption. The game is already available on Steam for PC players.

A Girl Atoning for Humanity's Sins

Players follow Kyoya, the protagonist who wakes up disoriented in a dimly lit room to discover he's leaped forward to the year 4000 — nearly 2000 years beyond his last memory.

Earth now lies in ruins, with only a mysterious girl available to answer his questions. Though she appears unexpectedly, this girl carries an unimaginable burden – trapped in an endless cycle of death and rebirth as penance for mankind's sins.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands of times, she dies only to resurrect and repeat her torment. Witnessing this relentless suffering compels Kyoya to show her the meaning of happiness.

While the narrative starts slowly, its deliberate pacing pays off as seemingly minor details resurface with dramatic significance later. The story's twists and emotional depth gradually unfold in ways that reward patient players.

A Thought-Provoking Narrative Experience

Unlike traditional visual novels, Together We Live follows a linear storytelling approach without branching choices. The game combines minimalist yet evocative artwork with a poignant narrative blending beauty and melancholy.

The tragic heroine's fully voiced performance adds profound emotional weight—both heartrending and beautifully executed. Currently available in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese, the game lacks controller support but offers deep narrative immersion.

Priced at $9.99 on the Google Play Store, Together We Live is also included in the Play Pass subscription. For more gaming discoveries, explore our coverage of Cassette Beasts' Android release featuring monster transformations via retro tapes.
