Type: Null and the Ultra Beasts Join Pokemon TCG Pocket in New Extradimensional Crisis Expansion
Haven't finished collecting all the cards from the Celestial Guardians Expansion in Pokémon TCG Pocket, which was released just three weeks ago? Well, you'll need to step up your game because another exciting expansion is on its way! Introducing the Extradimensional Crisis, set to launch on May 29. This expansion brings in the quirky and mysterious Ultra Beasts along with the eerie chimera Pokémon, Type: Null.
Extradimensional Crisis shines a spotlight on the Ultra Beasts, those bizarre alien-like creatures that played a significant role in Pokémon Sun and Moon as invaders from another dimension. Confirmed cards include Buzzwole ex, Blacephalon, Nihilego, and Guzzlord ex. Not only that, but we're also getting more Alola Pokémon to complement those introduced in Celestial Guardians. With Type: Null making an appearance, it's highly likely that its evolution, Silvally, will soon follow.
Along with new cards, the Extradimensional Crisis expansion brings fresh cosmetics to the game. Starting May 29, you can snag an Ultra Beast-themed binder cover using shop tickets. Additionally, from June 11, you'll have the chance to purchase a floral display board with event tickets during the upcoming Wonder Pick event.
Pokémon TCG Pocket has been consistently releasing expansions since its launch last year, and Extradimensional Crisis is no exception. Although it's categorized as a minor booster expansion with just one booster pack type, it's arriving hot on the heels of its predecessors. This marks the seventh expansion overall and the fourth smaller expansion, following Mythical Island, Triumphant Light, and Shining Revelry. Importantly, none of the expansions have been retired yet, meaning all are still accessible in the game... for the time being.
