"Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter - Kazuma Kaneko's New Roguelike Deck-Builder"
Kazuma Kaneko, the legendary designer behind iconic series such as Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Devil Summoner, is back with an exciting new project: Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter. Developed by COLOPL, this innovative roguelike deck-building game is set to launch on PC, iOS, and Android, blending Kaneko's signature dark, mythological aesthetic with strategic card-based combat.
Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter unfolds in a futuristic Tokyo Bay, within The Hashira—a towering high-rise transformed into a sealed-off battleground. This eerie setting is now home to strange entities known as gods and demons. Players take on the role of members of the elite national defense force, Tsukuyomi, tasked with ascending to the top floor to eliminate a powerful target. Fans of Kaneko’s previous works will appreciate the game's atmosphere, which masterfully melds urban decay with supernatural horror, delivering a compelling fusion of mythology and cyberpunk themes.
In Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter, players must navigate an ever-changing dungeon, building a deck of powerful abilities to overcome the challenges ahead. Each run through the game is unique, with different cards, dungeon layouts, and enemy encounters ensuring no two experiences are the same. Combat is fast-paced and turn-based, requiring players to make critical decisions quickly. With only one action per turn, whether attacking or defending, strategic thinking is essential to survive.
Exploration in the game is enriched with branching paths and significant choices that impact your journey. Each decision can have lasting consequences, influencing battles and available resources. True to the roguelike genre, failure is harsh; losing a fight means losing all progress and starting over, so careful planning is key.
Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter is slated for release around June 30th, although this date is subject to change. To stay updated and secure your spot, you can pre-register by clicking on your preferred link below.
