Top Jedi Survivors of Order 66 Ranked

by Bella May 25,2025

This month, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, marking the end of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, this film was the last to be overseen by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney seven years later. Fans eagerly anticipated seeing Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader, but the fate of the other Jedi remained a significant mystery. The film introduced Order 66, a sinister scheme by Palpatine that turned Clone Troopers against their Jedi allies, leading to the execution of thousands of Jedi. Despite the scale of the purge, it was logical to assume that some Jedi managed to escape, setting the stage for their stories to unfold in subsequent Star Wars canon.

Among the few dozen Jedi who survived Order 66 and have been featured in canon, we've compiled a list of the top 10 survivors who've left a significant mark. Their survival ranged from fleeting moments to extended periods, with some fates still shrouded in mystery. Each of these Jedi lived to see at least one more day after Palpatine's chilling command, "Execute Order 66."

Before diving into our list, let's clarify our criteria: Eligible characters must have been part of the Jedi Order before Order 66, ranging from Jedi Initiates to Jedi Masters. This excludes non-Jedi Force-users like Maul or Palpatine, as well as individuals like Jod Na Nawood, who, despite receiving some Jedi training, were never officially part of the Order. The case of Asajj Ventress sparked debate; trained by Jedi Ky Narec on Rattatak, she never officially joined the Jedi Order nor met with the Jedi Council. Her subsequent alignment with the Dark Side under Dooku's mentorship places her as an honorable mention rather than a full-fledged survivor on our list.
