The start of a new year is the perfect time to look forward to the exciting lineup of game releases on the horizon. Here are the biggest game releases of 2025 that we know about so far!

January 2025

Dynasty Warriors: Origins - On January 17, Tecmo Koei's iconic musou series returns with its first full-fledged entry since 2018. Dynasty Warriors: Origins will leverage the power of current-gen hardware to bring a flood of enemies to your screen, which you can mow down while shouting the classic battlecry, "DIE, NASTY WARRIORS!" It's set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC.

If you prefer taking down enemies from a distance, Sniper Elite: Resistance on January 30 continues the long-running series known for its long-range, precision shooting. This latest installment sticks to the successful formula of taking out Nazis with precision, including the infamous shots to their private parts. Available on all Xbox and PlayStation platforms, plus PC.

February 2025

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Launching on February 11, this sequel picks up where the original left off, following Henry of Skalitz in a historically accurate simulation of 14th-century Bohemia. With deep role-playing mechanics and a vast open world, you can shape Henry's journey in any way you choose. Available on current-gen consoles and PC.

On the same day, Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 arrives, a series needing no introduction after 7 installments over three decades. You'll guide a civilization through history, focusing on Exploration, Expansion, Exploitation, and more. It's set to launch on virtually every platform, excluding mobile - but expect that to change soon.

On February 14, Assassin’s Creed Shadows transports Ubisoft's acclaimed series to feudal Japan, where you can embody both a ninja and a samurai through dual protagonists. It's coming to current-gen consoles and PC.

For a unique Valentine's Day experience, Date Everything! launches as a sandbox dating simulator where you can romantically engage with over 100 anthropomorphized inanimate objects, all fully voice-acted. Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch, and PC.

Avowed by Obsidian hits Xbox Series consoles and PC on February 18. Set in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity but with a first-person perspective and real-time action combat, it promises a concise yet immersive experience akin to The Outer Worlds.

Split Fiction - On March 6, Hazelight's latest co-op adventure sees a sci-fi and fantasy author trapped in virtual reality, leading to bizarre adventures, including transformations into pigs and hot dogs. One copy allows two players to join online. Available on PC and current-gen consoles.

On March 25, immerse yourself in the cozy life of hobbits with Tales of the Shire. This life sim focuses on gardening, pipe-smoking, and neighborhood rivalries, offering a peaceful alternative to epic quests. It's coming to PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch, and PC.

Atomfall - On March 27, explore a post-apocalyptic English countryside inspired by Fallout and Stalker, where survival is key. It's coming to all platforms except Switch.

Also on March 27, The First Berserker: Khazan expands the Dungeon & Fighter universe with a single-player action RPG. It'll be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

On March 28, inZOI aims to challenge The Sims with its stunning visuals and innovative gameplay. After years of expansions for The Sims 4, this could be a fresh start for simulation fans. It's launching on PC, with console versions planned for later.

April 2025

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves - On April 24, Fatal Fury returns with its first new game this century. Featuring familiar faces like Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui, this long-awaited title is set to launch on both PlayStations, Xbox Series, and PC.
