MobLand Season 2 Greenlit: Tom Hardy’s London Crime Saga Continues

by Nathan Jan 13,2026

Craving more of Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan’s gripping crime drama? Eager for another dose of Helen Mirren’s commanding presence? Paramount+ has officially renewed MobLand for a second season.

The streaming service reports that 26 million viewers have tuned into the series since its March 30 debut, making the renewal an easy call, especially with its stellar cast. Paramount+ notes that MobLand ranks as the second most-watched original series on its platform.

Alongside Hardy, Brosnan, and Mirren, the show features House of the Dragon’s Paddy Considine and Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt. It centers on Hardy’s character, Harry Da Souza, a fixer working for Brosnan’s Conrad Harrigan and his London crime syndicate. The official synopsis describes the series as a tale of “two generations of gangsters, their enterprises, the alliances they forge, and the man they rely on to solve their problems.”

“With over 26 million viewers and counting, MobLand has emerged as a global hit, fueled by the creative genius of producers Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett, and David C. Glasser, and elevated by the stellar performances of Tom, Pierce, and Helen,” said Chris McCarthy, co-CEO of Paramount and president of Showtime/MTV Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to approve a second season of this worldwide sensation, which has topped charts in the UK and beyond.”

Season 1 holds a strong 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is available to stream now, though no release date for Season 2 has been announced.

In May, while discussing MobLand, Hardy shared that his work on films like Venom, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Dark Knight Rises has taken a toll on his health as he nears his 50s.

“I’ve had two knee surgeries, a herniated disc in my back, and sciatica,” the 47-year-old Hardy disclosed.

“And then there’s… plantar fasciitis, is it? Where did that come from? Why? I’ve also torn a tendon in my hip. It feels like everything’s falling apart, and it’s not getting any better.”
