EPCOT's Test Track to Reopen with New Features in July 2025

Disney has revealed that EPCOT's Test Track, presented by General Motors at Walt Disney World Resort, will welcome guests again on July 22, 2025, with exciting updates.

According to Disney Parks Blog, the revamped attraction features a fresh musical score and new scenes showcasing technology that enhances vehicle intelligence and enriches daily life.

One highlight includes a scene demonstrating how advanced cameras and sensors allow vehicles to perceive their surroundings, illustrating the capabilities of self-driving cars and the role of LiDAR in ensuring safety.

Unlike previous versions set in a conceptual realm, this iteration of Test Track is grounded in reality. Guests will experience a drive through a Pacific Northwest-inspired landscape.

"The reimagined Test Track celebrates the joy of driving and embarking on scenic road trips with loved ones," said Nathaniel Gearhart of Walt Disney Imagineering. "It’s about creating unforgettable memories."

To capture this authenticity, the attraction incorporates four tree species—Cedar, Spruce, Maple, and Oak—representing the Pacific Northwest, with lush overhead foliage forming a natural canopy.

Test Track 1.0 debuted in 1999, followed by Test Track 2.0 in 2012. Test Track 3.0 will open in 2025 after a refurbishment that began on June 17, 2024.

This is one of many attractions awaiting guests at Walt Disney World this summer, contributing to the excitement of Cool Kid Summer.
