Silt, Surreal Underwater Puzzle Game, Hits Android Early Access

Snapbreak Games is launching its surreal underwater puzzle-adventure title on mobile. The game, Silt, is currently in early access for Android, with a full release set for January 26, 2026, on both Android and iOS.

The game blends horror and surrealism

You take on the role of a lone diver, submerged in a monochrome nightmare inhabited by unsettling creatures, ancient machinery, and profound silence. There’s no HUD, inventory, or guiding mission log to rely on.

You are entirely on your own, solving puzzles by possessing sea creatures. By temporarily becoming these beings, you can reach new areas or trigger reactions in the environment. This unusual mechanic frequently leads to unnerving encounters.

As the trailer reveals, the art direction is essential to the game’s mood. Every frame in Silt is hand-drawn by artist Mr Mead, featuring a sketchbook-style texture that enhances its surreal quality.

In the game, you navigate through submerged decay, forgotten history, and unsettling secrets. The creatures you encounter are bizarre, often massive, and deeply disturbing. While you can’t fight them directly, you can seize control of their forms.

The ocean depths are dotted with ruins and long-concealed mysteries. Subtle narrative elements are woven into the environment, conveyed through visuals and interactions rather than explicit storytelling.
