"Superman Trailer Unveils Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Krypto vs. Engineer"
DC Studios has unveiled a thrilling new trailer for the upcoming Superman movie, directed by James Gunn, set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute trailer gives fans an exciting glimpse into the expansive universe of superheroes and villains that will populate the film. Viewers are treated to dynamic scenes featuring Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, who effortlessly dispatches enemies, Isabela Merced as the fierce Hawkgirl, and a detailed look at María Gabriela de Faría's portrayal of The Engineer.
The trailer reveals a pivotal moment where The Engineer is responsible for destroying the robots that care for Superman within the Fortress of Solitude, including the beloved Kelex. This follows a scene from a previous trailer where Superman is seen mourning Kelex after a battle. Additionally, fans are introduced to Krypto the Superdog, who heroically engages The Engineer with a flying punch, showcasing his readiness to combat villains.
Further enhancing the ensemble, the trailer showcases Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and introduces Ultraman. There are extended sequences featuring Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason / Metamorpho. The newly introduced character, The Hammer of Boravia, presumed to be Ultraman in disguise, also makes an appearance, following a teaser from the day before.

The trailer also delves into the central relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane, highlighting a tense interview where Lois questions Clark in his Superman persona. The discussion escalates into an argument over the morality of Superman's involvement in a foreign war, with Clark defending his actions ("I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!"). In response, The Hammer of Boravia launches an attack on Downtown Metropolis.
In another compelling scene, a civilian assists Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This act of kindness contrasts sharply with other scenes where the public is seen reacting with fear and hostility towards Superman, even throwing objects at him. This dichotomy adds depth to the narrative, exploring the complex dynamics between Superman and the citizens he strives to protect.
