After a successful closed alpha phase, Smite 2's open beta is now accessible for free on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Steam Deck. Alongside the open beta launch, Titan Forge Games is introducing a new patch for Smite 2 that includes new gods, game modes, and more.
Smite 2 was announced a year ago, promising a sequel to the beloved third-person MOBA. Built with Unreal Engine 5, Smite 2 offers a refined visual and combat experience compared to its predecessor. The game also features an updated item shop that allows players to choose items irrespective of their god’s classification. Similar to the original Smite, players embody gods from diverse cultures to compete in a 5v5 match and siege the enemy team. Now, following the closed alpha, Smite 2 is open to all players.
Starting January 14, players can download Smite 2's open beta for free on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Epic Games Store and Steam), and Steam Deck. The latest update brings exciting new content, including Aladdin, a god specifically crafted for Smite 2. Aladdin boasts unique abilities such as running along walls and reviving after death thanks to his companion's three wishes. His ultimate ability captures enemies, forcing them into a 1v1 confrontation, true to his legendary origins.

Titan Forge Games’ creative director praised Smite 2, noting its significant improvements over the original Smite. The developer appreciated the community's feedback from the closed alpha and promised exciting new content in 2025.
