On July 4, Capcom announced via Twitter (X) that a new mobile game titled "Resident Evil Survival Unit" is being co-developed by Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY. The game is designed as a survival horror strategy title optimized for iOS and Android platforms.

Capcom states that this new entry offers a fresh perspective on the acclaimed Resident Evil franchise, delivering an authentic real-time strategy experience for longtime enthusiasts and new players alike. It is scheduled for a global launch, including Japan, South Korea, North America, Europe, and Asia.
