Nintendo has reaffirmed the release of several first-party titles for 2025 in their recent financial report. The first quarter will see the launch of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on January 16th and Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are slated for release later in the year, though specific dates are yet to be announced.
While no other projects have been disclosed, fans can look forward to the Nintendo Direct on April 2nd, 2025. The exact broadcast time will be shared later via Nintendo's official website and social media channels. Although the event is expected to focus on the Nintendo Switch 2, enthusiasts are eager for more details on Switch 2-exclusive titles.
Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Ahead Of Launch
The much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is also set to launch in 2025, with the financial report suggesting a release in the latter half of the year. To build excitement, Nintendo will host live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events in 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. While most locations have closed their registration, a waitlist is available for those still hoping to attend. For the Japan leg, ticket applications are open until February 20th JST.

Super Nintendo World Expands To Orlando, Florida
Nintendo is broadening its reach with the opening of a new Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida, on May 22nd, 2025. This marks the second Super Nintendo World in the United States, following the one at Universal Studios Hollywood. The Orlando park will feature the vibrant landscapes of Super Mario Land and the lush tropics of Donkey Kong Country from day one.
Furthermore, plans are underway for a Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore, with a projected opening in 2025, though further details are yet to be announced.
