After skipping the last two SGF events to focus on Nintendo Direct presentations, the gaming giant returns at a pivotal moment - coinciding with the upcoming launch of their next-generation handheld console, Switch 2.

While Nintendo's participation doesn't guarantee a full stage presentation, fans anticipate Switch 2 details and potential game trailers for the new platform.

Xbox Games Showcase Potentially Features Everwild and State of Decay 3

Microsoft continues its annual tradition with the Xbox Games Showcase during SGF weekend. Beyond expected reveals like Call of Duty and Gears of War: E-Day, anticipation builds around two particular titles.

State of Decay 3, initially announced in 2020, recently showed significant development progress during Xbox's 2024 showcase with rendered in-game assets.

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer expressed personal enthusiasm for the franchise during a February 2025 interview: "Yeah, State of Decay is just one of the franchises I love back from the original one... I do think the work that Double Fine's doing and how Tim kind of solicits feedback from the team."

Spencer also provided updates on Rare's Everwild, describing it as "A unique and unforgettable experience await in a natural and magical world." Regarding development progress, he noted: "It's nice to see the team with Everwild and the progress that they're making."

While these recent comments fuel speculation about their inclusion, Xbox hasn't officially confirmed these titles for the showcase.
