New Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Trailer Escapes Pizza Parlor

We're going back... but this time, we’re taking the terror beyond the pizzeria walls. Believe it or not, the first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy's 2 has arrived, packed with exciting details. Most notably, Freddy's animatronics are breaking free from Fazbear's Pizza in this sequel, bringing chaos into the outside world.

That's not the only highlight in this sneak peek. After the device appeared on the movie's first poster, we now have a clearer look at the FazTalker – a toy that resembles a mix between a two-way radio and an old Fisher Price boombox. It seems to function exactly as fans theorized: enabling spirits to communicate with the living.

Interestingly, the spirits aren't reaching out to Josh Hutcherson's character, Mike, but rather to his younger sister Abby – who formed a bond with the animatronic spirits in the first film. In the trailer, they specifically ask for her help, and she, along with Mike and his police friend Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail), appear to respond. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be a trap, possibly orchestrated by Matthew Lillard's William Afton, even if he's believed to be dead.

We also get a look at the Withered animatronics, especially Withered Bonnie – also called Faceless Bonnie – whose terrifying appearance is fully revealed in the trailer. Since Withered Bonnie serves as the main antagonist in the second FNAF game, it seems the film will follow that storyline closely.

One of the most entertaining moments comes near the end, when Mike discovers a Freddy mask in the pizzeria office. Fans of the game will recognize this as a tool to help him remain undetected while the animatronics roam at night. "There’s no way this’ll work," Mike says, just before Chica and Withered Bonnie launch their attack.

Overall, FNAF 2 is shaping up to be an exciting continuation that appears to follow the second game more faithfully, rather than completely reinventing the story. If everything comes together as planned, this could really work to the film's advantage.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on December 5, 2025.
