Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has set a new record for Capcom, selling over 8 million units within just three days of its release. Capcom proudly announced this milestone on their official website, marking it as the fastest-selling title in the company's history.

The game's success was evident from its launch, as reported by SteamDB, where MH Wilds achieved over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this remarkable achievement to their extensive promotional efforts, including showcasing the game at global video game events and conducting an open beta test that allowed players to experience MH Wilds firsthand.

Latest Update Addresses Game-Breaking Bug

Monster Hunter Wilds has now tackled some critical bugs that were hindering player progress. On March 4, 2025, Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) that the hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available across all platforms.

This update resolves several issues, including the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking despite meeting the necessary criteria, the inability to access the Monster Field Guide, and a game-breaking bug that blocked story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down," among others. Players are required to update the game to continue enjoying online play.

However, not all bugs have been addressed yet. Issues such as a network error when players fire an SOS flare after a quest begins, and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks not inflicting stun and exhaust damages, remain unresolved. These multiplayer-related bugs are expected to be fixed in an upcoming patch.
