Monster Hunter Now Opens Exploration Bases in Anniversary Prep

Monster Hunter Now’s latest update introduces Exploration Bases, a fresh community-focused feature arriving with Season 7. Inspired by the spirit of cooperation at the heart of Monster Hunter, these bases function similarly to familiar gathering spots from other mobile titles.

Rather than simply collecting random items, hunters now collaborate to upgrade local bases by contributing exploration emblems and field reports. As participation increases, the base’s strength grows, granting shared benefits to all contributing players.

How do Exploration Bases work in Monster Hunter Now?

These bases operate on a three-week cycle called a Wave. Upon completing a Wave, participants can earn rewards such as an Item Box Expansion +500 and up to 2,000 base reputation. Leaderboards will track community progress throughout the event.

Exploration Bases emphasize cooperation over individual combat prowess. This design allows newer players and those still building their gear to make significant contributions. According to the developers, the feature aims to broaden the hunter experience beyond the constant pursuit of monsters.

The inaugural Wave begins on September 18, 2025, and concludes on October 13, 2025. The featured outbreak monster for this period is the formidable 8-star Riftborne Deviljho. Shortly after, on September 22, the Riftborne Deviljho will be permanently added to the game’s roster.

The game is also celebrating its 2nd Anniversary!

Monster Hunter Now’s 2nd Anniversary festivities run from September 14 to September 28, 2025. Participate in the celebration to earn special 2nd Anniversary Exchange Tokens by hunting monsters, defeating or repelling Elder Dragons, and completing event quests. Players can exchange these tokens at the Event Exchange Hub for valuable rewards, including an Item Box Expansion and Wyvern Gem Shards. The event also offers exclusive outfits, anniversary gifts, and special time-limited campaigns.

In addition to Deviljho, Season 7 will introduce other riftborne variants such as Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian. Be sure to download the latest version from the Google Play Store to join the hunt.
