How To Fix 'Mission Not Complete' in Ready or Not

1. Double-Check Your Objectives

Ready Or Not Mission Complete Vote Screen

The first step to resolving the "Mission Not Complete" issue is to thoroughly check your objectives. Even if you think you've completed everything, the game might have other ideas. If any objectives remain unfulfilled, you can still vote to end the mission.

How to Check:

Press the Tab button to open the mission menu and review the objective list. If you see any items marked in red or listed as incomplete, that's your clue. Some common objectives that players often miss include:

  • Reporting downed suspects or civilians – If you incapacitate or kill a suspect, you need to report it by interacting with them (F by default). The same goes for civilians.
  • Securing evidence (weapons, bombs, etc.) – Ensure you pick up any dropped weapons. If a suspect drops a gun, make sure you secure it.
  • Completing optional objectives – Some missions include extra tasks, like disabling security systems. Skipping these can prevent the mission from being marked as complete.
  • Ensuring all hostages are safe – If a civilian is still tied up somewhere, you need to rescue them properly.

Fix: Revisit the map and ensure you haven't missed anything crucial.

2. The Vote-to-End Issue (Multiplayer)

Ready Or Not Vote to End Mission Screen

This issue frequently catches players off guard in co-op mode. For the mission to end successfully, every player must vote to end it. If even one player misses the vote prompt, you'll encounter the "Mission Not Complete" error.

How to Fix:

  • Ensure all players press Y (default key) when the vote prompt appears.
  • If someone isn't voting, remind them via voice or text chat.
  • If a player is AFK, you might need to wait or consider kicking them from the session.
  • For connectivity issues, check our guide on how to fix 'Can't Connect to Host' in Ready or Not.
  • If the vote screen isn't appearing for some players, restart the mission.

3. Objective Bugs

Sometimes, you might have completed all objectives, but the game fails to recognize your efforts.

Common Bugs:

  • The game doesn't register secured weapons.
  • A hostage isn't counted as rescued even though they are.
  • An objective remains incomplete despite meeting the conditions.

How to Fix:

  • Restart the mission and attempt it again.
  • In multiplayer, try switching the host, as objectives might register differently for different players.
  • Verify your game files by going to Steam > Right-click Ready or Not > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files. This can correct missing or corrupted files causing issues.

The Classic 'Restart and Hope' Method

If none of the above solutions work, sometimes the only option left is to restart the mission.

While it's not ideal, Ready or Not is still in development, and mission completion bugs can occur. If a mission stubbornly refuses to complete no matter what you do, restarting is often the quickest way to resolve the issue.

And that's how to fix "Mission Not Complete" in Ready or Not.
