MCU Movies Ranked: A Tier List

by Patrick May 05,2025

With the release of *Captain America: Brave New World*, it's a perfect moment to dive back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which now boasts an impressive collection of 35 films. Which of these MCU movies holds a special place in your heart? Do you cherish the pioneering origin stories like *Iron Man*, or do the thrilling team-ups that concluded the Infinity Saga resonate more with you? Share your thoughts using our convenient tier list tool below.

With so many films to choose from, remember that we're focusing solely on entries from Kevin Feige's MCU. This means no Sony Marvel films this time (sorry, X-Men fans, except for Wolverine, of course). Below is my personal tier list, crafted based on my enjoyment of these movies over the years:

Simon Cardy's MCU Tier List

Unfortunately, *Captain America: Brave New World* didn't meet my expectations, landing in the D tier due to what I believe is the MCU's clunkiest script to date. I know my placement of *Deadpool & Wolverine* (2024) in the bottom tier might surprise many, but it simply didn't resonate with me. You can read more about my thoughts on that here. While it's not the lowest point for the MCU, *Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania* easily earns its spot in the D tier, marking the current low point for the franchise.

On the other end of the spectrum, the top tier is reserved for the five films I consider truly exceptional. Both *Captain America: Civil War* and *Winter Soldier* are clear S-tier choices for me, as they brilliantly explore the emotional heart of the MCU and the thrills of paranoid espionage, respectively. Then there's *Thor: Ragnarok*, which stands out as one of the funniest films of the past decade. And, of course, *Avengers: Infinity War* and *Endgame* delivered a spectacular conclusion to the saga's most crucial chapter.

Do you disagree with my rankings? Perhaps you believe *No Way Home* is the best of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy, or that *Black Panther* deserves an S-tier spot? Why not create your own tier list below and see how your rankings compare with the entire IGN community?
