Marvel Rivals Unveils Regular Hero Releases
NetEase Games has confirmed a robust post-launch plan for Marvel Rivals, promising a new playable hero every six weeks. This commitment, revealed by Creative Director Guangyun Chen in an interview with Metro, ensures a steady stream of fresh content.
Each three-month season will be divided into two halves, each introducing a new hero. Beyond heroes, each season will also feature new seasonal stories and maps. Chen emphasized the goal of continuously enhancing the player experience and maintaining community excitement.
Marvel Rivals launched with a strong roster including Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, and others, but the challenge lies in sustaining this momentum. Season 1, featuring Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing, and Human Torch, set a high bar. Speculation for future seasons includes characters like Blade, Daredevil, and Deadpool, showcasing the vast potential of the Marvel universe.
The game's success is undeniable, and NetEase shows no signs of slowing down. In addition to new heroes, future updates will include balance changes and gameplay adjustments.
