LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth
LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. These releases coincide with Disney's annual May the 4th (Star Wars Day) celebration, which typically sees LEGO launching a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In previous years, we've seen the likes of Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year's spotlight is on Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I among long-time fans. Due to a name change initiated by Disney in 2021, which LEGO confirmed, the ship is now referred to as Jango Fett's Firespray Starship. This change reflects Disney's sensitivity toward certain terminology and appears to be permanent.

The latest iteration of this iconic LEGO starship, inspired by its appearance in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, comes with a staggering 2970 pieces. This is nearly triple the size of the previous large version released in 2019 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, which had 1007 pieces. The new model measures an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
