Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Patch 1.2 Adds Workshop & Barbers

by Isaac Oct 07,2025

Warhorse Studios has rolled out a major free update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – version 1.2. This patch brings two exciting additions: built-in mod support via Steam Workshop and a brand-new barber shop feature.

The Steam Workshop integration streamlines mod downloads and installations directly in-game, removing reliance on external platforms. Its success hinges on modders uploading their creations to Steam Workshop. Currently, only a handful of mods are available, such as:

Free Saving: Automatically replenishes "Saviour Schnapps" for unlimited saves.
Helmet of Henry VIII: Introduces a historically-inspired horned helmet.
Tourist: Allows unrestricted exploration by disabling NPC trespassing reactions.
Pebbles the Zebra: Gives your horse a zebra-themed visual makeover.

While selection is limited now, the modding community is poised for rapid growth. With thousands of mods already on Nexus Mods, creators will likely publish on both platforms. Though Steam Workshop may not match Nexus Mods' volume, popular mods should appear soon.

The update also introduces barber shops in Rattay and Kuttenberg, letting players customize hairstyles and beards. Any style change grants a temporary Charisma boost.

Beyond these features, Update 1.2 delivers extensive improvements documented in the official changelog. Warhorse Studios implemented over a thousand fixes affecting gameplay balance, animations, and NPC behavior – including crime system refinements.

Key enhancements include:

More realistic NPC daily routines
Improved horseback riding and trading mechanics
Visual upgrades and performance boosts, especially in Kuttenberg and large battles

The developers will showcase these changes during next Thursday's livestream. Their commitment continues with three paid DLC expansions planned for spring, summer, and winter releases.

With Steam Workshop support, cosmetic customizations, and gameplay polish, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II keeps evolving to deliver a deeper medieval experience.
