by Eric May 13,2025

J.C. Lee, daughter of the iconic Marvel creator Stan Lee, has broken her silence in a candid interview with Business Insider, firmly denying previous allegations of elder abuse against both her father and her late mother, Joan. These serious accusations first surfaced in 2017 after Joan's passing, culminating in a detailed exposé by The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. The report painted a troubling picture, alleging that J.C. Lee aggressively sought control over her parents' finances and assets, and was involved in heated disputes, including verbal confrontations and an alleged physical altercation with Stan Lee. The article also mentioned a photograph of a bruise on Joan Lee’s arm, which was used to support the claims against J.C. Lee, claims she vehemently denies.

In her recent interview, J.C. Lee labeled all the accusations as "a lie." She explained her initial silence following the 2018 THR article, stating she was advised against making a public statement at the time. "You think I haven't regretted it to this day?" she expressed, emphasizing her frustration. "They are all lies. That photo is insane. I never did it."

While acknowledging the heated arguments with her parents over financial matters, J.C. Lee insists that these disputes never escalated to physical violence. "I never ever touched my parents," she affirmed.

Stan Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a heart attack.
