Finn Jones Acknowledges 'Iron Fist' Critiques, Eager to Redeem Character

Charlie Cox's successful transition from Netflix's Daredevil to the MCU has sparked speculation about potential comebacks for other members of The Defenders. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, recently expressed his enthusiasm for a return, stating, "I’m here and I’m ready." Jones last donned the role of Danny Rand in the second season of the Iron Fist series on Netflix and in The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).

Despite the lukewarm reception to Jones’ portrayal of Iron Fist compared to the other Defenders characters, the integration of Daredevil into the MCU has rekindled hopes for a revival of The Defenders. Recent reports suggest that Marvel is "exploring" this possibility.

At the LaConve anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticisms of his Iron Fist performance directly, asking fans and Marvel for another opportunity. He said, "[There is a] willingness for the fans to see that happen. There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

Daredevil: Born Again continues the narrative established on Netflix, integrating it into the broader MCU canon alongside other shows and films available on Disney+. This integration also includes Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, previously exclusive to Netflix, who appears in Daredevil: Born Again.
