Fallout Season 2 Slated for December 2025, Third Season Greenlit

by Oliver Aug 06,2025

Amazon Prime Video has set a December 2025 premiere for Fallout Season 2, with the series also securing a Season 3 renewal.

The streaming platform shared updates on its post-apocalyptic adaptation of Bethesda’s games at its annual upfront event in New York City on Monday, confirming a third season following the upcoming episodes this winter. This move signals strong confidence in Season 2, which wrapped filming just last week.

“We’re thrilled to dive back into the wasteland for a third season of Fallout, just in time for the holidays,” Executive Producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy stated. “Together with our talented cast, crew, showrunners [Geneva Robertson-Dworet] and [Graham Wagner], and our partners at Bethesda, we’re grateful to Amazon MGM Studios and our dedicated fans for joining us on this wild ride.”

The news that Fallout Season 2 is on track for a 2025 release is unexpected. With filming recently completed and production paused earlier this year due to the LA fires, many anticipated a delay until early 2026.

While Amazon has yet to lock in an exact premiere date, the announcement of a December release signals that the Prime Video series is charging forward at full speed.
