Fans Receive Elden Ring Nightreign Playtest Confirmation Emails

FromSoftware took to their Twitter (X) account on January 30, 2025, to announce that confirmation emails for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test have been dispatched. Fans are buzzing with excitement, sharing screenshots of their confirmation emails and thanking FromSoftware for the opportunity to participate.

If you're one of the lucky ones who received a confirmation, keep an eye out for a follow-up email on February 11, 2025. This email will include a unique code to download the Network Test client, available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

FromSoftware opened the registration window for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test from January 10 to January 20, 2025. If you applied but didn't get an email, unfortunately, there's no word yet on additional testing dates.

Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test

FromSoftware describes the network test as a "preliminary verification test where selected testers will experience a segment of the game before its official release." The test aims to rigorously check the online systems through large-scale network load tests, ensuring the servers can handle a multitude of players simultaneously.

The Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test is scheduled from February 14 to February 16, 2025, with participants able to join any of the five 3-hour sessions:

• Session 1: February 14th, 3 AM to 6 AM PT
• Session 2: February 14th, 7 PM to 10 PM PT
• Session 3: February 15th, 11 AM to 2 PM PT
• Session 4: February 16th, 3 AM to 6 AM PT
• Session 5: February 16th, 7 PM to 10 PM PT

Scammers and Scalpers Already On The Move

Beware of scams targeting Elden Ring Nightreign fans. Reports indicate a scam on Steam where players receive fake invites to the network test. Clicking these links can redirect users to malicious sites that hack their accounts and spam their friends with the same fraudulent invite. Remember, FromSoftware only uses their official website and social media for network test registration and communications. Any other links are unauthorized and potentially harmful.

Additionally, following the announcement of the confirmation emails, scalpers have jumped into action. Listings for "confirmed test codes" have popped up on various buy-and-sell platforms, with prices ranging from $150 to $200, and some even listed for auction. Keep in mind that the actual codes won't be available until February 11, making these listings premature and likely scams.

Elden Ring Nightreign was first revealed at The Game Awards 2024, set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. While FromSoftware has targeted a 2025 release window, an exact date has yet to be announced.
