Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Rumored for Nintendo Switch 2, Says Saudi Ratings Board

by Amelia May 01,2025

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for Nintendo Switch 2, hinting at its arrival on the new console even before an official announcement. Although we're still awaiting confirmation that this game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, will grace the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, initially shared on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.

"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet stated before being removed, confirming that it had received a 12+ rating.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, offering an expansive roster of playable characters, each equipped with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.

In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, noting: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened on April 24, maintaining a price point of $449.99. The response was overwhelming, as expected. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store, stating that release date delivery could not be guaranteed due to exceptionally high demand.
