How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To reach the cat island, you'll need to journey to the Omi region, typically around the midpoint of the game's storyline. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and leveled up before setting out northeast towards Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast expanse of water central to the region. It's advisable to secure a boat from nearby settlements like Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you can swim to the island. Your target is the large island in the middle of the lake, just northwest of Azuchi. As you approach, the game will unveil Okishima, featuring a Kakurega for resting. You'll notice plenty of fish drying near the docks, a sign of a thriving environment for a particular type of animal.

To immerse yourself in the feline haven on Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them; this not only adds them to your collection but also allows you to bring them to your Hideout. Keep an eye out for rare kittens, which are particularly elusive elsewhere.

While Leaps of Faith typically reveal new locations on your map, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of these cats. After exploring and taking the Leap of Faith into the haystack, there's little else to do but enjoy the company of your new friends.
