"Devil May Cry Anime Season 2 Confirmed on Netflix"

by Benjamin May 13,2025

Exciting news for fans of the Devil May Cry anime: Netflix has officially greenlit a second season. The announcement came via a post on X/Twitter, featuring an image and the caption, "Let's dance. Devil May Cry is officially coming back for Season 2." Although details about the upcoming season remain under wraps, viewers can revisit the first season, now fully available on Netflix, to understand why it has earned a continuation.

In our review of Devil May Cry Season 1, we noted, "Devil May Cry is not without its flaws, including horrendous use of CG, bad jokes, and predictable characters. Yet, Adi Shankar and Studio Mir have crafted a fun video-game adaptation that doubles as a deranged, bonkers, and bold homage to and indictment of '00s Americana. If nothing else, it contains some of the best animation you’re likely to see this year, and its epic finale makes for a very effective tease for an even wilder second season."
