In Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2), players can now clear bosses without engaging in combat, a feature designed to assist less experienced gamers. During the April 14 episode of the Koji Pro radio broadcast, DS2 Director Hideo Kojima unveiled this groundbreaking option.

Kojima detailed that players facing a game over can opt to press "continue," which will allow them to bypass the boss fight. Instead of combat, the game will present images and text descriptions of the battle, akin to a visual novel. This approach ensures that players can still experience the narrative depth of the boss encounters without the need for combat.

Hideo Kojima announced that DS2 is now 95% complete, likening its progress to "10 o’clock (PM)" on a 24-hour clock, indicating that only a couple of hours remain until completion.
