Boosting your character's power in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is achievable through various methods, including Gems. These equippable gems provide passive bonuses, significantly aiding gameplay, especially at higher difficulties. This guide details gem crafting, upgrading, and strategies for obtaining specific gems.

How To Craft & Level Up Gems in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Gem creation utilizes Pyroxene and occurs at any in-game Inn or tent. Access the "Create Gems" option (usually the second from the top in your room's menu). Pyroxene is consumed at a 1:1 ratio to craft gems. A limited number of gem types are craftable, with each Pyroxene yielding a random gem from this pool.

Initially crafted gems are level 1 and equippable via the Battle Preparations menu. Subsequent crafting of the same gem type grants experience, increasing its level and potency. For broad improvement, using all Pyroxene at once for random gem creation and leveling is efficient.

For targeted gem acquisition, the "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" effect may activate during single-gem crafting, limiting the random selection to three specific gems. This effect is cancellable by exiting and re-entering the crafting menu. While crafting one gem at a time is slower, it increases the odds of triggering "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" for your desired gem. Note that "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" reduces, but doesn't eliminate, randomness.

Here's a list of craftable gems:

Gem Name Passive Boost Oblivion Gem Expands attack range. Vortex Gem Increases damage to airborne enemies. Scorch Gem Boosts damage against parried enemies. Wellspring Gem Restores health for every 100 enemies defeated. Ascendance Gem Chance to automatically block officer attacks.

Where To Find Pyroxene in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Pyroxene appears as orange crystals scattered throughout the game world. Interacting with a crystal yields one Pyroxene, after which the crystal disappears. Pyroxene respawns after skirmishes and battles, encouraging exploration of previously visited areas. Letters received in your Inn or tent room may also occasionally contain Pyroxene.
