Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Update 1 Resolves Soft-Lock Problems

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Post-Launch Updates
Bug Fixes and Localization Improvements
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has released its first update post-launch. Sandfall Interactive shared on their Steam blog on April 30 that Hotfix 1.2.2 is now live, addressing several crucial bug fixes and enhancing the game's localization.
The update tackles in-game bugs such as soft-locking after stunning the Grown Bourgeon, along with other soft-lock issues on the world map. Additionally, the update includes localization improvements for the French, German, and Chinese languages, enhancing the gaming experience for a broader audience.
The developers have promised more fixes and improvements in the pipeline, with further details to be announced soon. While these patches are vital for refining the game, the community is eager for more substantial updates, including potential DLCs.
Earlier this week, Expedition 33’s lead writer took to Instagram to engage with fans about the possibility of DLC. While no official confirmation was provided, the response was optimistic, hinting that due to the game's success, a DLC is likely on the horizon.
Expedition 33 Director Recommends Another RPG Which Was Released on the Same Day
In related news, Sandfall Games' Creative Director Guillaume Broche recommended another RPG that launched on the same day as Expedition 33. In a post on Expedition 33’s X account on April 30, Broche suggested fans explore The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, describing it as "another great turn-based RPG made with love by an awesome team."
This recommendation came as a response to The Hundred Line’s co-director Kazutaka Kodaka, who had previously praised Expedition 33 on X on April 28, encouraging fans to play both RPGs. Kodaka's series of tweets lauded Expedition 33 and urged gamers to enjoy the unique experiences offered by both titles.
Despite the competitive release schedule with other RPGs like Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered, The Hundred Line has garnered a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. Meanwhile, Expedition 33 continues to lead as the highest-rated game of 2025, achieving over 1 million sales in just three days.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay updated with the latest news by following our dedicated article below!
