by Savannah May 17,2025

Sony Pictures has thrillingly announced the release date for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, set to slice into US theaters on October 29, 2025. This exciting news was shared during Sony's CinemaCon presentation, where they revealed their acquisition of worldwide theatrical rights, excluding Japan, to bring this eagerly anticipated adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's work to audiences this fall. US viewers can mark their calendars for a late October treat, while over 80 other countries will get to enjoy the film starting September 24, 2025. In Japan, Toho will handle the release on September 19, 2025.

The Chainsaw Man movie was announced back in December 2023, and it serves as a direct sequel to the acclaimed MAPPA-produced anime that debuted in 2022. The story follows Denji, a boy given a second chance at life after forming a pact with a Chainsaw Devil dog named Pochita. This newfound power enables him to sprout chainsaws from various parts of his body, transforming him into the formidable Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will introduce fans to the new character Reze, a significant figure from the original manga. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and penned by Hiroshi Seko, the film brings back the entire voice cast from the anime series to reprise their roles, ensuring a seamless transition for fans.
