First Bird Pokémon Lands in Pokémon GO at Catch Mastery Event!

If you're an avid player of Pokémon GO, you're in for a treat with several exciting events on the horizon. From the colorful Festival of Colors to the thrilling Might and Mastery, the upcoming Catch Mastery event promises to add even more excitement to your gaming experience.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event takes flight from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event focuses on Archen, the First Bird Pokémon, giving you a fantastic opportunity to catch this unique creature. During the event, you'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and keep your eyes peeled for their Shiny versions, which could appear.

Archen won't just be found in the wild; it will also be available as a Field Research reward with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers lucrative XP bonuses. You'll earn double XP for Nice Throws or better and for Curveball Throws, helping you level up faster.

For those who love a challenge, the event includes Timed Research centered around catching Rock-type Pokémon. Completing up to 10 sets of tasks will reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters, making it a golden opportunity to boost your collection.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Following the Catch Mastery event, get ready for the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol—Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently gain access to this powerful move, delivering 55 power in Trainer Battles and a whopping 65 power in gyms and raids.

To make the most of the Mega Absol Raid Day, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20 from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT. Additionally, you'll have the chance to obtain up to five extra free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, giving you a total of six for the day.
