Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

by Riley May 22,2025

After months of swirling rumors and leaks, Bethesda is set to officially unveil the remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow. The announcement is scheduled for 11:00 am EST and will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch.

In a recent tweet from the official Bethesda account, an image featuring a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork strongly hints at the nature of the announcement. This has fueled excitement among fans who have been eagerly awaiting news on the remaster.

Rumors of an Oblivion remake have been circulating for years, but recent developments have intensified speculation. The initial hint came from a leaked 2020 Bethesda release schedule during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which indicated a remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although the timeline had passed, the project's status remained uncertain until January of this year when further leaks suggested a full-blown remake being developed by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. Last week's leaks from Virtuos' website, including in-game images, seemed to confirm these rumors.

If these leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. A Deluxe Edition, featuring the infamous horse armor, is expected to accompany the standard release.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what could be the official confirmation and more detailed information about this highly anticipated remaster.
