Avowed Weaponry: Unlocking Tier II and Beyond

Upgrading your weapons in Avowed is crucial for survival. Early game weapons are Common (I), but you'll quickly encounter Level II enemies requiring Fine (II) gear. Here's how to obtain Tier II/Fine weapons and armor:

Upgrading from Common (I) to Fine (II):

Gear in Avowed has a Quality level (I, II, etc.) indicated by color and Roman numerals. To upgrade from Common (I) to Fine (II), you must first upgrade through three intermediate levels (+1 to +3) at a Party Camp workbench. Each level requires specific materials. The final upgrade to Fine (II) requires Adra, a rare crystal obtained from quests, merchants, or dismantling Unique items.

Finding and Purchasing Fine (II) Weapons and Armor:

While upgrading is an option, it's resource-intensive. Fine (II) gear can be found early on in Dawnshore, though rarely. Level II enemies, particularly Bounties, may drop Fine (II) items, but Common gear is significantly less effective against them.

Merchants in Paradis offer Fine (II) weapons and armor. Paradis becomes accessible after defeating the Dreamscourge bear boss in Dawnshore. Two sisters operate adjacent stalls near the Bounty Board: Merlylin sells magical items (grimoires, wands), while her blacksmith sister sells standard weapons and armor (pictured above).
