Studio Wildcard has released an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing nearly two years of planned updates for the game. Launched in early access in late November 2023, ARK: Survival Ascended has been receiving regular content updates from Studio Wildcard.
On January 11, the Redmond, Washington-based developer shared its roadmap, which extends until late 2026. The first major update isn't a content release but a technical patch that will upgrade ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This update, expected in March 2025, will bring significant performance improvements and reintroduce support for Nvidia's frame generation, which was previously removed due to engine issues.
ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The Unreal Engine 5.5 update will also continue Studio Wildcard's efforts to restructure the game's data, allowing players to download individual DLC packs. This selective approach aims to manage the game's install size more effectively. New content is scheduled for April 2025, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.
In June 2025, a new premium map will be introduced as paid DLC, with further details to be announced possibly in early spring. August 2025 will see the addition of another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature.
Throughout 2026, Studio Wildcard will focus on remastering ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is set for April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026, each accompanied by a part of Bob's True Tales. A remastered version of the Fjordur map will be available as a free update in December 2026. Additionally, three more Fantastic Tames are planned for 2026.
The roadmap provides a broad overview of the planned updates, suggesting that Studio Wildcard may have additional surprises in store for ARK: Survival Ascended over the next two years.
