AMC Unveils Massive Galactus Popcorn Bucket for Fantastic Four: First Steps

by Victoria Oct 23,2025

Craving popcorn straight from Galactus’ head? For those catching The Fantastic Four: First Steps in theaters, that dream is now reality. AMC Theatres has unveiled the Galactus popcorn bucket for the upcoming film, poised to become a must-have collector’s item.

Dubbed the “Giant Galactus Popcorn Vessel” by AMC Theatres, this 17-inch-tall bucket showcases the film’s villain, portrayed by Ralph Ineson of The Witch and Nosferatu fame, from the neck up. The bucket mirrors Galactus’ head, complete with vivid blue eyes and a shimmering purple helmet. Popcorn is served from the open top of the helmet, with each limited-edition bucket including a large popcorn, per AMC.

AMC is also offering a three-in-one snack holder tied to First Steps, modeled after the film’s H.E.R.B.I.E. robot. Named the “H.E.R.B.I.E. Concessions Vessel,” it comes with a large popcorn, large drink, and candy, plus multiple compartments within H.E.R.B.I.E. for storage.

The theater chain is making bold moves, from eye-catching popcorn buckets to expanding pre-show ads. According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC has partnered with National CineMedia to introduce additional commercials, dubbed “platinum spots,” alongside traditional movie trailers starting July 1. Both companies will split the revenue from this new venture.

AMC addressed the decision, noting initial hesitation but pointing to competitors’ success. “While we were cautious about introducing this to our theaters, competitors have done so for over five years with no noticeable impact on attendance,” the company told THR. “This suggests the NCM pre-show ads won’t deter moviegoers.”

This week, Marvel dropped a new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, spotlighting ticket sales and revealing baby Franklin Richards for the first time. The trailer features Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic and Sue Storm / Invisible Woman with their child in a tender bedroom scene, marking the character’s debut.

Director Matt Shakman also addressed speculation about Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom appearing in the film, suggesting the character won’t feature. Still, fans remain convinced Doctor Doom could appear, possibly in a post-credits scene.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25, 2025.
