Custodes, Emperor's Children Enter Warhammer 40k: Tacticus & Warpforge

The Warhammer Skulls 2025 event delivered an incredible wealth of content, revealing new games, DLCs, and major updates spanning the entire Warhammer universe. For mobile gamers, Warhammer 40,000 is introducing the Adeptus Custodes and the Emperor's Children in Tacticus and Warpforge, respectively.

Command the Adeptus Custodes

Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus is welcoming another Imperium faction: the Adeptus Custodes, the personal guardians of the Emperor. They are even stronger, more resilient, and better armed than the Space Marines.

The Adeptus Custodes will arrive in a new Legendary Survival Event starting May 24th, led by Trajann Valoris. This commander is designed to withstand heavy punishment and retaliate with devastating force.

Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge is heading in a radically different direction, as the Emperor's Children have entered the fray.

Once loyal to the Imperium, they turned renegade during the Horus Heresy and now pledge allegiance to Slaanesh. Their devotion now lies in excess, sensation, and pushing all boundaries.

This new faction debuts with three unique warlords. Lord Kaphrael specializes in eliminating enemy champions and leads the Callous Blades warband. Xarahan embodies arrogance, while Lucius the Eternal brings centuries of dueling mastery to the battlefield.

Their mechanics are as twisted as their lore. Cards with the Ecstasy keyword activate special effects when their health falls to a certain threshold. The Cruelty trait grants bonuses for injuring enemies without finishing them off.

Stimulation activates when a unit is targeted by a stratagem. Combat Elixirs generate additional stratagems to fuel these interconnected mechanics. Watch the action in the trailer below.
