Die Game Awards 2024, moderiert von Geoff Keighley, haben ihre Nominierten in 19 Kategorien bekannt gegeben und gipfelt in der begehrten Auszeichnung „Spiel des Jahres“ (GOTY). Final Fantasy VII Rebirth führt mit mehreren Nominierungen, sieht sich jedoch starker Konkurrenz durch Astro Bot, der Indie-Sensation Balatro, dem visuell atemberaubenden Black Myth: Wukong, dem erwarteten RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio und der umstrittenen Elden-Ring-Erweiterung Elden Ring: Shadow of the ausgesetzt Erdbaum.

Fans können jetzt bis zum 11. Dezember auf der offiziellen Website und dem Discord-Server der Game Awards ihre Stimme für ihre Favoriten abgeben. Die Gewinner werden während der Live-Zeremonie am 12. Dezember im Peacock Theater in Los Angeles bekannt gegeben, die weltweit auf Twitch, YouTube, TikTok und anderen Plattformen gestreamt wird.
